This track celebrates the human side of working in the Microsoft ecosystem: career lessons, project war stories, and the mindset shifts that make great professionals great. Come to breathe, reflect, and recharge.

6 biggest WTF

English · Introduction (100)

Gustaf Westerlund Gustaf Westerlund
Kathrine Hogseth Kathrine Hogseth

Sometimes things just go south. I will talk about some of the biggest WTF-moments in our combined 30+ years life of being Dynamics Consultants and what happened next! It will be a session full of fun but also insights into how things actually don't always go the way we plan and how to handle these situations (and not). We will discuss things ranging from customers that want to skip testing before going live with a business critical implementation to when all case forms, including the editor broke and I had to find very creative ways of solving this issue.

7 or So Habits of Highly Effective Consultants

English · Introduction (100)

Dan Barber Dan Barber

After 20 years in the industry, I’ve seen first-hand that technical expertise alone doesn’t make a great consultant. The real differentiators? The habits, mindsets, and interpersonal strategies that shape how we engage with clients, teams, and complex challenges. This is why in this this session I walk you through a set of recurring patterns—drawn from experience, coaching, observing exceptional peers, broad reading content, and plenty of trial and error—so that you can consistently elevate the impact of your consulting interactions. These habits are practical, adaptable, and immediately actionable. Whether you're a seasoned consultant or just starting out, you’ll leave with a toolkit of proven techniques to: - Build trust and credibility - Navigate ambiguity with confidence - Communicate with clarity and influence - Foster collaborative problem-solving - Reflect and grow continuously If you're ready to sharpen your consulting edge and take your professional development to the next level, this session is your launchpad.

Beyond Black & White: A Colorful Take on Transferable Skills

English · Intermediate (200)

Máté Tóth Máté Tóth

Roles shift. Tools change. Entire industries reinvent themselves. But the skills that really matter aren’t black and white - they’re the colors you carry with you. In this session, we’ll move beyond static slides and step into stories and exercises that bring these skills to life. Drawing from experiences as both a Power Platform solution builder and a professional photographer, we’ll explore how curiosity, collaboration, adaptability, and communication shine across very different careers. Through vibrant storytelling, a splash of visuals, and two short interactive exercises, you’ll connect with fellow attendees and create your own “skills palette” - a set of strengths you can immediately use to grow, pivot, or energize your career.

Congratulations, you are agile. Your product is still late.

English · Introduction (100)

Marin Niehues Marin Niehues

Agile was supposed to fix everything. Faster delivery. Better collaboration. Happier customers. That’s what the consultants promised. That’s what the slide decks still say. And yet… your product is still late. Still not what the customer asked for. Still somehow worse than last quarter. Companies are still burning millions on "Agile transformations" that never end. Teams are drowning in meetings, sprint boards, and Jira tickets. Leadership still doesn’t know what’s going on, but now they have new words for it. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe: They were meant to be tools, not religions. But somewhere along the way, companies stopped solving problems and started worshiping the process itself. I’ve seen teams spend more time debating backlog grooming than improving the product. I’ve watched companies mistake motion for progress, convinced that sprinting fast and often enough will somehow fix their broken foundation. If your organization is chaotic, misaligned or hiding behind process, Agile won’t save you. Customers don’t care what framework you use. They care if you solve their problems and too many teams forgot how to do that. What You’ll Walk Away With... ... how to stop Agile from getting in the way of actual work. ... how to fix your product development process without another Agile coach. ... the questions leadership should ask before jumping on agile. ... how to tell if your Agile setup is making things better or just making things busier.

From Click to Test Case: Automating Test Creation with Sören & the Sören Recorder

English · Introduction (100)

Sven Mahn Sven Mahn

Testing is one of the most critical — and most underinvested — activities in every Dynamics 365 implementation. End users are drafted as testers, documentation is thin, and reproducing bugs often costs more time than fixing them. What if creating a fully documented test case were as easy as just using the software? In this 20-minute session, I will introduce Sören — the intelligent test management assistant built for Microsoft Business Applications projects — and show how the brand-new Sören Recorder browser plugin turns everyday clicks into three valuable artifacts at once: A screen recording of the executed scenario — perfect for documentation, handover, or bug reports. A ready-to-run automated test script exported directly for Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress — giving your developers a head start on regression automation. A complete, structured test case inside Sören, including input and output screenshots for every step, aligned with the VENA principle (Precondition, Input, Postcondition, Output). What attendees will take away A clear understanding of how Sören supports test management, test case creation, and distributed manual execution on iteration level — with native connectors to Jira and Azure DevOps. A live demo of the Sören Recorder capturing a real Business Central scenario end-to-end. Concrete ideas for closing the gap between manual UAT testing and automated regression testing in D365 / BC projects — without forcing end users to learn a testing framework. An honest look at where recorded tests shine and where human judgment is still required.

From Grayscale to Full Color: The 45-Minute Networking Dare for Techies

English · Introduction (100)

Máté Tóth Máté Tóth

Most conference sessions are painted in grayscale - slides, notes, and maybe a quick Q&A. This one bursts into full color. In just 45 minutes, you’ll take on a dare many techies secretly find tricky: actually connecting with people in the room. Forget endless decks or long lectures. We’ll jump straight into quick, practical exercises that brighten up conversations, make sharing experiences feel natural, and turn introductions into real connections. You’ll walk out with: - New contacts you’ve already spoken with during the session - Simple techniques to make networking feel easy, not forced - The confidence to keep conversations flowing long after the session ends This isn’t about collecting LinkedIn connections. It’s about moving from grayscale to full color by practicing the art of turning strangers into peers, and maybe even future collaborators, right here, right now.

Unf*ck your mind: How to finally build something great again

English · Introduction (100)

Marin Niehues Marin Niehues

Your mind is f*cked. Overloaded, overstimulated and drowning in an endless to-do list. Everything needed to be done yesterday, you’re pulled in a hundred directions and somewhere along the way, you forgot what actually matters. We’re bombarded with notifications, meetings, and meaningless busywork. AI is making it worse spitting out endless streams of generic, forgettable content. We move faster and produce more, but are we actually creating anything worth remembering? The result? Mediocre, half-assed outcomes. Not just in your work, but everywhere in your company, with your customers, in your career. We’re all stuck in this cycle, rushing to meet deadlines we didn’t set, for work that isn’t great, while convincing ourselves that speed equals value. This session is about breaking that cycle. It’s about unf*cking your mind so you can focus on what actually matters and finally build something you’re proud of and that matters to you - and to others.
